What we publish
Menu Radar is a searchable record of what Stockholm restaurants are serving, built from menus those restaurants publish themselves. For each restaurant we publish its name, address and website; the menus we have captured; the dishes and wines on them; the prices printed on those menus; a link to the source document; and the date we captured it. Where a restaurant appears in a public register or a restaurant guide, we publish that fact and link to it.
We do not publish phone numbers or email addresses. An earlier version of Menu Radar collected them; that collection has stopped, and no page, feed or API response exposes them.
Menus are read by software, and software gets things wrong
Menus are parsed automatically from web pages, PDFs and — for a small number of sources — images. Automated extraction makes mistakes: a price can be attached to the wrong dish, a wine's producer can be misread, and a menu can be out of date by the time you read it. Treat what you see here as a record of a captured document, not as a live quote from the restaurant. Every listing carries its source link and capture date so you can check it against the original.

Where the data comes from
- Restaurants' own websites and menu PDFs.
- Third-party services restaurants use to publish or host their own menus — website builders, content delivery networks, booking platforms and similar. The menu is the restaurant's; the hosting is not always theirs.
- Public registers, including the food-business register published by Stockholms stad.
- Map and address data: © OpenStreetMap contributors, and the OpenStreetMap Nominatim geocoding service.
- Restaurant guides and award lists, from which we take only the restaurant's name, the award or classification as a fact, and a link back to the guide. We do not republish guides' editorial text.
- Openly published Swedish retail wine reference data, used internally to recognise grape varieties, regions and producers. It is reference data for parsing, not a price comparison.

Server logs
Our web server writes an ordinary access log for every request. It can contain your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user agent and the referring page. These logs exist to operate and secure the site — diagnosing errors, and identifying abuse. They are rotated daily and kept for 14 days, then deleted. They are not used to profile visitors, and they are not shared.
Cookies and tracking
Menu Radar sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. Restaurant photographs are loaded directly from each restaurant's own website, so those requests go to that restaurant's server rather than to us.
For visitor statistics we use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a service of Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., 16 Raffles Quay, #33-03 Hong Leong Building, Singapore 048581. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and it builds no profile of you. It records the page visited, the referring page, country, device type and browser. Your IP address is sent to Ahrefs and used only to derive those fields; it is not stored. The legal basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, and you may object under Article 21. Ahrefs is in Singapore, for which there is no adequacy decision; that transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses.
If you give us your email
If you sign up for early access, we store the address you enter and use it only to contact you about Menu Radar. We do not sell or share it. To be removed from that list, email hello@menuradar.se.
Correction and removal
Anyone — a restaurant, or an individual whose personal data appears here — can ask us to correct or remove information. Email hello@menuradar.se and say what should change. A removal request takes the restaurant off every public page, out of the search index and out of the sitemap, and it stays removed when the data is next refreshed. You can also ask what we hold about you and ask for a copy of it.
Legal basis
Menu prices, dish names and the identity of a business are commercial facts that restaurants publish themselves, and we rely on legitimate interest in making them searchable. Most of what we publish is information about businesses rather than about people, but we recognise that for a sole trader the business and the person can be the same — which is why the removal route above is open to anyone and is not conditional on being a company. Signup email addresses are held on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
